Christopher "Mac" Macrostie

Chri­­stopher “Mac” Macrostie, 74, longtime area resident died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his home in Brule, WI. He was born in Houston, TX on May 15, 1948, the son of Lyle and Doris (Hand) Macrostie.

Mac graduated high school and went on to serve his country honorably in the United State Marines during Vietnam. He later worked for Chicago Northwestern Railway, retiring after twenty-five years of dedicated service.

Chris met the love of his life; Christine Lyons and, during their thirty-three years together they built a beautiful life and celebrated twenty-two years of marriage before his passing.

Mac was an avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, hunting and fishing. Above all, Mac was a family man and enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, Chris, and loved spending time with his family and animal companions.

He is dearly missed by his beloved wife, Chris Lyons Macrostie, Brule, WI; children, Noel, Zachary, Summer Macrostie and Josh Lyons; grandchildren, Loreli, Alana, and Kyra Lyons, and Caleb and Alay Carmen; sister, Tina Macrostie, and brother, Erick (Connie) Macrostie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Kari Steele.

A Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM on his birthday, Monday, May 15, 2023, at his home, 8132 S. Volker Rd., Brule, WI. Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
