Clarise May Liebaert

August 29, 1930 — May 2, 2010

Clarise May (Munnings) Liebaert, 79, of Superior, was surrounded by several of her loved ones as she passed away peacefully into the Lord’s hands on May 2, 2010.
Clar was born on August 29, 1930 to Clarence and Mabel Munnings in Superior, Wisconsin.
She graduated from East High School in 1948 and married her high school sweetheart, Marshall, on September 22, 1951. The two of them owned and operated the business locally known as “Tower Plumbing and Heating” for years. Her second job was being the # l fan of her kids and grandkids in their many events and in all other aspects of their lives.
Clar was a kind woman; someone that made the most out of what life handed her. She was simple and generous. She was someone you could talk to without her passing judgment. Clar had a strong faith and was a member of First United Methodist Church in East End and after its closing, joined Faith United Methodist’s congregation.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall, her parents, Clarence and Mabel; her sister, Donna (Munnings) Griffith; and a grandson, Matthew Liebaert.
Clar is survived by two sons, Mark (Cora) Liebaert and Jeff (Donna) Liebaert, one daughter, Marsha (Ray) Moe; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Kirkpatrick, Mark (Amanda) Liebaert, Jr., Amanda (Kris) Leopold, Melissa Liebaert, Drew (Megan) Liebaert, Laura (Ryan) Landin, Kristy Liebaert, Beth (Cody) Fechtelkotter, and Greg (Dorie) Aker; eight great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Joe Griffith; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Bonacci and Karin Liebaert; several nephews, nieces and her lifelong best friend, Gloria Nelson-Johnson.
A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Diamond Willow in Cloquet, Minnesota for sharing your love and care for our mother this past year. You all were able to witness her humor and took care of her as if she was a part of your own family.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral, Superior. Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Certa-Werner, officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be her boys, Mark Liebaert, Jeff Liebaert, Ray Moe, Mark Liebaert, Jr., Greg Aker and Drew Liebaert.
