Connie Diane Cheuvront Graden, 60, Lake Nebagamon, died peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2015 in her home, following a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Valentine, Nebraska, on September 13, 1954 to the parents of Galen and Lavonne Cheuvront.
Connie graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1972.
She married Paul Graden on July 24, 1989, and recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with a trip to Jamaica.
Connie worked at Maurices Corporate Office for 34 years as a Marketing/PR Coordinator before retiring in 2013. Previous to that, she was a homemaker and employed at Holden Insurance. She worked as the copy editor for The Woman Today magazine for many years. She had two home-based businesses :Timber Ridge Treasures Ebay store and Young Living Essential Oils, where she taught classes in Ashland, Duluth and Superior, and recently reached the level of Gold.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon and involved with the garden and memorial committees, and participated in the God Squad Relay for Life Team. She was also secretary of the Classics by the Lake Car Club in Nebagamon.
She enjoyed being with her grandkids, gardening, helping others and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Hope.
In addition to her husband Paul, Connie is survived by three daughters, Nicole Nemec, Willmar, MN, Syna (Christopher) Reid, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Kaitlyn Graden, Duluth, MN; one son, Chad Graden, Duluth, MN; eight grandchildren, Samantha Mace, Kaela (Jordan) Heer, Hannah Reid, Brett Reid, Titus Graden, Noah Graden ,Emma Graden and Arion Vann; one great grandchild on the way: two sisters, Gail (David) Barnes, Eau Claire, WI, Jean (Bob) DeGaetano, Blaine, MN; one brother, Stephen (Mary Jo) Cheuvront, Nashville, TN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon with Pastor Darrell Kyle, officiating.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon or the Hope Lodge in Rochester, MN.
