Connie A. Van Driessche

Connie A. Van Driessche, 74, lifelong area resident, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Duluth, MN after a brief illness. She was born in Superior, WI on February 17, 1949, the daughter of Bangt and Mary (Neve) Larson.

She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1967. She grew up in Allouez and there she met her future husband, Thomas Van Driessche, they were united in marriage and spent 22 years together before his unexpected passing in 1995.

Connie worked for the City of Superior as a city clerk for many years.

In her free time, Connie enjoyed traveling and dining with her close friends. Connie was fortunate to have several lifelong friends that she met at an early age and kept close to throughout her life. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and especially her sister, Susann.

Connie will be dearly missed by her children, Tom (Sara) Van Driessche of South Range, WI, and Jill (Jason) Radtke of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren Cooper, Dustin, Ben, and Sam; sister Susann Ahlberg of Bennett, WI; brothers William (Mary) Neve and Jerry (Bonnie) Larson of Superior, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and her parents.

Per Connie’s wishes, no public services will be held.
