Constance C. Bichanich

Constance “Connie” C. Bichanich, 82, longtime resident of Solon Springs, died peacefully, Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Superior, WI, December 18, 1938, the daughter of Clark and Alice (Willoughby) Dodge.

Connie was united in marriage to James Bichanich August 29, 1964, and they were soon to celebrate fifty-seven years of marriage.

She worked as a cook for Northwestern School District for many years before retiring in 1997. Prior to that she worked from home for a fishing pole factory and had been employed at Jeno’s.

Connie was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Maple, WI. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Above all, Connie was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James “Jim” Bichanich, Solon Springs, WI; daughters, Carrie Bichanich, Park Falls, WI, Jane (Mike) Slivensky, Bennett, WI, and Alice (Mike) Greske, Prescott, WI; son, James. J. (Darlene) Bichanich, Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Ryne, Tori, Charlie, Megan, Morgan, Matthew, Autumn, Chelsea, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Linux, and Dash; sister, Marion Strand, Rapid City, SD; and nephews, Robert, and Gary Strand.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Faith Lutheran Church, 4641 County Highway F, Maple, WI, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service with Pastor John Knierim officiating. Faith Lutheran Church recommends that masks be worn in attendance.

Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Maple.
