Constance Natalie Luckenbill

August 18, 1950 — January 8, 2016

Constance Natalie Luckenbill passed away on January 8, 2016. She was born on August 18, 1950, in Superior, Wisconsin.

She was the daughter of the late Albert Luckenbill and Natalie Radloff Luckenbill.

Connie was a person with developmental disabilities and throughout her adult life she was cared for in group homes, supported apartments and assisted living communities that were managed by the Challenge Center and Catholic Charities. Most recently she resided at McKenzie Manor.

Connie spent her days at the Challenge Center in their Day Services Programs where she worked at various jobs.  After retirement she enjoyed their Seniors Programs.

Connie loved being with her friends at the Challenge Center.

As a child Connie developed a love for cats. She collected statues and toy cats that decorated her room. Her most recent kitty cat, Tuffy passed away on Thanksgiving Day at the age of 18.

While Connie loved cats she was passionate about the Green Bay Packers.

She collected anything Green and Gold. Connie always looked forward to attending Packers practices and games while visiting her family in Green Bay.

Survivors include Connie’s very special friend Richard of Superior, Wisconsin; her brother and sister-in-law, Birke and Cheri Luckenbill of Green Bay, Wisconsin along with her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Connie was loved and cared for by many people.

We would like to thank everyone who cared for her throughout her life.

A special thank you goes out to St. Luke’s Hospice along with all of their incredible staff. Thank you to Dr. Sonja Swenson for your loving and expert care of Connie. Thank you to the caring staff of McKenzie Manor. Connie was very lucky to have found such a great place to live. We also want to thank Theresa Buck, director of McKenzie Manor. While Connie tolerated most people, she loved you.

A Celebration of Connie’s life is planned for Wednesday, January 13, , 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Challenge Center, 39 North 25 th Street East, Superior, Wisconsin.

The family has designated The Challenge Center for memorial contributions.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
