Cynthia Margaret Tyson Pierce

Cynthia Margaret Tyson Pierce, 35, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at her home in Foxboro, WI. She was born July 24, 1987 in Superior, WI, the daughter of Tina M. Brand.

Cynthia graduated from Superior Senior High School in 2006 and took up equine studies on-line through Post University. In 2021 she married Timothy Pierce. She was self-employed as a travel agent, but also worked at Gondik Law Speedway and Great Northern Classic Rodeo. Cynthia participated for many years on the Rodeo Board and volunteered to work as secretary.

She loved animals, especially horses, and it showed with her time spent working with Douglas County 4-H. Fishing and camping filled the warmer months, and she was a member of Lifted Trucks of Minnesota (LTM). Of particular enjoyment was time spent entertaining with friends and family at Drifters, taking pictures and doing crafts.

Cynthia is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Pierce, Foxboro; son Daniel (Asia Sarracco) Gnerer-Pierce, Two Harbors; daughter Erica Mastel, Minneapolis; mother Tina Brand, Foxboro; grandmother Lori Brand, Foxboro; uncle Alvin (Ann) Brand, Spring Lake Park; sisters Jamie Hebb, Duluth, and Tiffany (Tyler Thompson) Tyson, Superior; brother Anthony (Amanda Nagel) Tyson, Foxboro; mother and father-in-law Gayle and Bruce Pierce, Two Harbors; sister-in-law, Jeanna Pierce, Two Harbors; brother-in-law, Dan (Jeanine) Pierce, Two Harbors, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Alvin Brand.

Visitation for Cynthia will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S Darrow Road, Superior, from 11:30 – 2:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor John Fleming and Pastor Lee Downey as co-celebrants. Inurnment will be at Summit Cemetery at a later date.
