Daniel W. Dodge, 52, lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in his home. He was born in Ashland, WI, March 31, 1967, the son of Harry and Elizabeth (Dingwall) Dodge.
He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1985, and played hockey as a young boy. He served his country honorably in the Army National Guard, and worked in maintenance at Amsoil for over twenty years.
Dan was a proud member of the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsman, gun enthusiast and hunter. He loved his dog, Remo, and loved playing his drums.
He is survived by his sister, Diane Dodge, Branford, CT; brother, David (Cindy) Dodge, Lake Nebagamon, WI; aunt, Cassie Toughy, Sarnia Ontario, Canada; niece, Sammy; nephew, Brandon; several grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Dingwall; paternal grandparents, Guy and Florence Dodge; and cousin, Kathleen Murphy.
A Time of Remembrance will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5 th Street, Superior, with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 PM with Pastor Victor St. George officiating.
