Daryl B. Woerle

Daryl B. Woerle, 68, lifelong Iron River area resident,died Monday, April 04, 2011 in his residence following a brief battle with brain cancer.

He was born on May 31, 1942 in Superior to William V. and Esther (Jodell) Woerle.

He was employed at Rueben Johnson and Sons Construction for many years.

After his retirement, Daryl kept busy with his farms and his main love of taking care of horses.

Daryl is survived by four daughters, Sandra Woerle, Iron River, Laura (Brian Olby) Luger, Ashland, WI, Paula Irvin, Pine City, MN, Darla (Don)Lahti, Iron River; two sons, Scott (Renea) Woerle, Brule, WI, Ted (Amy) Woerle, Mars, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Tyler, Megan, Chelsey, Ryan, Myla, Brady, Jacey, Derek, Dakota, Rhett, Joshua, Jake and Olivia; one great-granddaugher, Peyton; one sister, Dorothy (Dick) Spiller, Fifield, WI; two brothers, William “Russ” (Margo) Woerle, Colorado, Richard “Dick” (Marilyn) Woerle, Brule and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret in 1998 and his parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Brule Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the Brule Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. Duane Aslyn, officiating.

Interment will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Brule.
