David L. Larson, 71, longtime Brule area resident, died Friday, April 24, 2015 in his residence.
He was born in Superior, WI, on June 18, 1943 the son of Walter and Elizabeth (Clark) Larson.
Dave served his Country for six years in the Army National Guard.
He was employed by Fraser Shipyards as a Carpenter for over thirty five years.
Dave was a member of the Superior Moose Lodge; the Corvette Club, the North Country Trail, the National Audubon Society and Country Peace Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed many activities: golfing (he had two hole in ones in his lifetime), attending auctions, gardening and his indoor plants, feeding and watching the wildlife, walking, wood working, coin collecting, playing cards (especially cribbage) and being at the family cabin with all of his family. He was an avid collector of many things. He helped on many building projects for family and friends.
Dave is survived by one daughter, Angela (Bill) Bodendorfer, Poplar, WI; one son, Troy Larson, Superior, WI; three grandchildren, Kristi, Alexandra and Sydney Bodendorfer; lifetime partner, Peggy Larson, Superior, WI; five brothers, Bill (Muggs) Larson Barnes, WI, Jim (Carol) Larson, Pine City, MN, Gary (Judy) Larson, Ankeny, IA, Jeff Larson, South Range, WI, and Wally Larson, South Range, WI; one sister, Nancy (Bob) Drallmeier, Glenwood City, WI; one aunt, Joyce; and Pixie his four legged daughter, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other in laws, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth Larson; one brother, Dick Larson; a sister, Loretta Hull (Steve) and Tom Spooner.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM, Memorial Service on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5 th Street, Superior with Pastor Richard Blood, of Country Peace Presbyterian Church, South Range, WI, officiating.
