David N. O'Kash

David N. O’Kash, 65, lifelong resident of Superior, WI, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home. He was born in Superior, December 20, 1956, the son of Michael and Jane (Welsh) O’Kash.

He was a graduate of Superior Senior High School, class of 1975 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Dave served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and worked as a Longshoreman with ILA for over forty-five years. He was a member of Hope Community Church in Superior and the ILA Local 1037.

Dave loved taking walks in Billings Park and loved to play a good game from Cribbage, Poker (back in the day), monopolizing Monopoly boards, and world domination in Risk. It is a shared fond memory of those he loved as a favorite past time. After holidays, Dave could be found gathering loved ones to clear dishes faster from the table for the games to begin.

Dave is survived by his two children, Jody Lynn O’Kash and Lisa Maureen Palmer (O’Kash); grandchildren, Skye, Jade and Rosa Palmer, Laila Lisa Hasnaoui and Hakim Dean Hasnaoui; brother, Robert (Donna) O’Kash, and sister, Sheryl O’Kash. In the past few years, Dave fortunately had an opportunity to connect with a biological child who was adopted at birth, Jason Morzenti and his son, Aiden.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
