David C. Shaw

David C. Shaw, 60, lifelong Superior resident, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1952 in Superior, WI to John and Catherine (Foldesi) Shaw.

David served his country in the United States Army.

He was employed as a truck driver for the Burlington Northern Railroad retiring in 1992 after twenty-six years of service.

David was a longtime active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He loved fantasy football and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He is survived by his son, David (Jamie Holmes) Shaw, Superior; two daughters, Shannon (Chris) Rangeloff, Coon Rapids, MN and Jennifer (Jason) Carson, Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Tyler, Rachel, Joshua and Emma; one brother, John (Corey) Shaw, Superior, WI; two sisters, Mary Lou Miller, Superior, WI and Peggy (Gary) Nelson, Fernley, NV and many nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Shaw, son Matthew A. Shaw, sister Patricia Anderson and brother Michael Page.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Leon Flaherty as celebrant.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Moder, Jim Koski, Mike Cloutier, Erin Frank, Jim Nordstrum and Rob Heytens.
