David A Sickler

David A. Sickler, 62, longtime resident of Superior, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 in his home. David was born April 8, 1954 in Superior to Richard and Stella (Kozlowski) Sickler.

He attended high school in Superior and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was self employed as a local contractor and carpet layer for many years at Floor-To-Ceiling.

David was an ordained minister and enjoyed providing ministry to the inmates at the Carlton County Jail. He was also a deacon at New Life Community Church in, Carlton, MN.

He is survived by his daughter, Stasha (Tim Ausman) Sickler, Superior, WI; sons, Elisha Sickler, Superior, WI and Joshua (Kristen) Sickler, Appleton, WI; five grandchildren, Josiah, Owen, Fiona, Ryder and Kaidance Sickler; mother Stella Hanson, Superior, WI; brother Mike (Nancy) Sickler, Superior, WI; sisters Bonnie (Walt) Williams, Dallastown, PA, Linda (Paul Larson) Hunter, Litchfield, MN and Patty (Robert) Eastman, Nekoosa, WI and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Sickler and his brother Dennis Sickler.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 and continue until the 11:00 AM, Funeral Service in the Downs-Lesage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior w ith David’s closest friend, Deacon Linda Reeves, New Life Community Church, Carlton, MN officiating.

David’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his many friends at New Life Community Church who held a special place in David’s heart.
