Delores Harty

Delores Harty, 83, lifelong Superior resident, died peacefully Monday, September 21, 2020 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Superior, September 9, 1937, the daughter of Stanley and Stella (Demski) Janovick.

Delores earned her nursing degree and worked at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital for ten years. She was a former member of Cathedral of Christ the King, most currently she was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior. Delores was also a wonderful baker.

She is survived by her son, Ralph Harty, South Range, WI; sisters, Phyllis Jones, Superior, WI, and Helen McCullem, Duluth, MN; brother, Bill Janovick, Superior, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; sons, Patrick and Jerry; and grandson, Ralph Harty IV.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior. Visitation will resume at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 28, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Toboloski as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
