Delores I. Lagro

Delores Irene Lagro, 86, formerly of Superior, WI, died Monday, June 20, 2016 in Virginia Beach, VA. Delores was born August 24, 1929 to Godfrey and Lila (Coon) LaBonte in Rice Lake, WI.

She married Robert Lagro on August 25, 1958. They celebrated forty-six years of marriage before his passing on August 25, 2004. Delores worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Morris Lincoln Nursing Home and the Grundy County Nursing Home in Morris, IL until her retirement in 1993.She was a resident of Superior, WI from 1993 – 2008 when she relocated to Virginia Beach, VA and resided with her daughter.

Delores is survived by her children, Gary (Denise) Lagro, Rosemount, MN and Terry (Neil) Hokanson, Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Zachary (Suzanne) Lagro, Farmington, MN, Kelly Hokanson, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Alex (Stevie Videnich) Lagro, Richfield, MN and her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Lagro, Farmington, MN, Scarlett Lagro, Richfield, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Lagro, her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 South Darrow Road, Superior, WI and continue until the 12:00 PM funeral service.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI. Pallbearers for the service will be Neil Hokanson, Zach, Alex and Pat Lagro, Larry Stark and Steve Laumer.
