Delores “Dee” Parzych, 83, Superior, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Villa Marina Health Center in Superior. She was born on April 18, 1935, in Superior, Wis, to Russell and Delia (Kotter) Putnam.
Dee was a cook for the School District of Superior. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East End and the Superior Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and will be fondly remembered as the “Mitten Lady” during East End Days.
Dee is survived by a son, Shawn Parzych of Superior; a daughter, Janell (Steve) Karich, of Lake Nebagamon; two granddaughters Chelsie Karich and Brianna Parzych and a sister, Fran McGinnis of Prescott, WI.
She was preceded by her beloved husband Russell (1998), her parents, and a brother, Russell E. Putnam, Jr.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 th Street, Superior, WI. Rev. Sarah Lawton will officiate a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery following the Time of Remembrance.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Villa Marina, and to Barry Brokaw with Essentia Health Home Hospice, for the wonderful care they provided to Dee and her family during this time.
