Delores Pellman, 86, Maple, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, April 1, 2013, following a brief illness. She was born on August 18, 1926 in Ironwood, MI to Theodore and Esther (Mattson) Pollari.
She had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Two Harbors for many years.
Delores was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI, Villagers Homemakers Club (HCE), Old-Brule Heritage Society and the Jarvenpaa Finnish Choir. She loved music, singing and she was a gifted soprano. She will be remembered as an “old fashioned” mother who loved baking and spending time with family.
Delores is survived by four daughters, Lora Lee (Lee) Olson, Two Harbors, MN, Charlene Kay (Richard) Harms, Duluth, MN, Cynthia Carol (Duane) Crider, Green River, WY, Janine Marie (Douglas) Seis, Lake Nebagamon, WI; two sons, James Carl Pellman, Maple, WI, Jack Theodore (Tammy) Pellman, Two Harbors, MN; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen (Ron) Simpson, Augusta, GA; her brother's wife, Audrey Pollari, Boise, ID and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; a grandson, Brian Kangas; her parents and a brother, Calvin Pollari.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home and will continue at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 4, 2013 until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon. Pastor Darrell Kyle will officiate.
Burial will be in the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery, in Maple, at a later date.
