Denise D. Byberg

Denise D. Byberg, 65, Superior resident, died peacefully with her sister Rita by her side, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Essentia Health-Miller Dwan in Duluth, MN. She was born in Superior, January 5, 1956, the daughter of Guy and Bonita (Tescherdorf) Warriner.

Denise was united in marriage to Loren Byberg, October 20, 1995, and they recently celebrated twenty-five years of marriage before his passing.

Denise was a member of the Moose Lodge 606 in Superior. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and especially loved spending time with her three daughters.

Denise was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed!

She is survived by her daughters, April Newman, Wendy Newman (Chris Saari) of Superior WI, and Carrie (Dino) Trnjanin of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Steven, Hunter, and Hayden; sisters, Lana (Rowland) Archer, Rita (Joe) Johnson, and Suzanne Hodges; brothers, Guy (Lisa) Warriner, and Patrick (Jessica) Higgins; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loren; sister, Leslie Parvey; brother-in-law, Jim Hodges; her ex-husband, Edward Newman; and her parents.

The family would like to announce that a Celebration of Life will be held for both Loren and Denise Byberg from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior with a service to begin at 11:00 AM. Gary Banker will officiate.

Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Park in Greenwood Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 Honor Guard.
