Denise Ann Schmid

Denise Ann Schmid, 53, of Foxboro, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on February 25, 1963 in Superior, WI to Bill and Kay (Johnson) McKay. She graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1981. Denise married her beloved husband James on March 11, 1998 and celebrated eighteen years of marriage.

Denise loved crafts, gardening, shopping, watching WWE wresting (her favorite Roman Reigns) and spending time with family and friends. She had her own cleaning business and always believed in good honest work. Denise was loved by everyone whose lives she touched and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy and Scotty McKay and her grandparents Louis and Eleanor Johnson and Hugh and Violet McKay.

Denise is survived by her husband, Jim; mother Kay McLelland, father, Bill (Darlene) McKay; brothers, Todd (Cheryl) McKay, Superior, WI and Pat McKay of OH; sister, Jamie East, Danbury, WI and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and especially her dog Francine.

The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia for their wonderful care of our beloved Denise.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. William Catholic Church, 3095 E. County Rd B, Foxboro, WI and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Adam Laski as celebrant.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Foxboro.
