Dennis D. Gokey

Dennis D. Gokey, longtime Superior resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Superior, WI. He was born August 20, 1958, to Gregory and Elizabeth (Patrick) Gokey in Two Harbors, MN.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was employed by B. Miller Products for many years in warehouse delivery.

Dennis and Cindy Loughren were wed on October 6, 1978, in Superior. They spent 48 loving years together before his passing.

He was a member of the Lac Courte Oreille Reservation. Pool league at Willies will no longer be the same without him.  He could often be seen with a Pabst or a Root Beer Barrel in hand.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Gokey, Superior; daughters: Jana (Jay Fish) Loughren, Superior, Elizabeth (Justin) Cross, Glenwood, WI, Denielle (Dylan Janssen) Gokey, Superior; granddaughters, Macie Jo and Della LouAnn; sisters: Dawn (Dave) Rask, Lois (Steve) Vnuk, Tina (Tom) Anderson, all of Superior; brothers: Dean Gokey, Jeffery Gokey, and Gregory Gokey, all of Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Diane Allen; brothers Charlie Gokey and Danny Gokey; and faithful canine companion “Paris”.

A Celebration of Life for Dennis is planned for June 7, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Mike’s Place, 1807 N 11th Street in Superior.
