Donald "Don" James Pank

Donald “Don” James Pank, 77, a longtime resident of South Range, WI died peacefully Friday, December 10, 2021, at Marywood of Benedictine Assisted Living in Duluth, MN.

He was born, June 20, 1944, the son of Francis and June (Johnston) Pank.

Donald graduated High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Airforce. He was united in marriage to Roberta Conley on May 28, 1967, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage before her passing in 2019.  Donald worked as a machinist with Power Transmission of Duluth for over 30 years before his retirement.  Donald will always be remembered as a skilled and hard worker who could fix anything, including building his own family home and garage. Above all, Don was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by three sons, Barry (Jennie) Pank, of Arizona, Joe and Jon Pank, both of South Range, WI; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda (David) Byrka, of Superior, WI.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta Pank; parents; and brother Arthur Pank.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Lakeside Baptist Church, 3176 S. Middle River Road, South Range, WI, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service with Pastor Travis Ulrich officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
