Donald “Ducky” E. Bell, 65, lifelong area resident, died peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2020 at his residence in Solon Springs, WI. Ducky succumbed to a year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Superior, WI on December 3, 1954, the son of Fred and Carol W. (Wimby) Bell.
Ducky was a graduate of Superior Senior High School class of 1973, and he was a switchman/brakeman for the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroad for 28 years. Ducky loved playing slow pitch softball, hunting and above all, he loved spending time with his family. Ducky had a vibrant personality, was kind and generous and loved my many. He truly will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole “Nikki” Jensen of Superior; three grandchildren, Jade, Desiree and Draden Jensen; siblings, John “Johnny” (Keyetta) Bell and Pamela Bell. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred “Mickey”, Earl, Tony and sister, Carol “Jeannie Bell.
A Celebration of Ducky's Life will be held from 5-7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior.
