Donald Francis Hapy, 97, passed away on June 7, 2025, at Keystone Bluffs in Duluth, MN, just short of his 98th birthday. He was the first-born son of Stephen and Frances (Kluck) Hapy on June 20, 1927, in Superior, WI.
He graduated from the former East High School, in Superior, with the class of 1945. There he lettered in basketball and football.

He was an active member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Superior. He was also a member of the Superior Blue Jacket Club and IBEW Union at SWL&P.
Don loved to travel. He could often be found on the golf course or watching his favorite western or WWII movies. Don was a big fan of Superior High School and UWS athletics. He volunteered for Superior youth baseball in the summer as scorekeeper. As a big sports fan, his favorite teams to watch were the Milwaukee Bucks, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Blackhawks and Wisconsin Badgers.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Pat, Kim Sophie and staff at Encompass, Brandy, Noel and Liz and the rest of the staff from Essentia Hospice, and the staff at Keystone Bluffs, and to Tim Hill for his exceptional friendship. Donald was so appreciative of everyone who did anything for him or saw him in his final days. He looked forward to seeing again those who had passed before him. He was adored by many who got to know him.
