Donald O. Little, 90, lifelong Superior resident, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Lighthouse of Superior.
He was born on April 5, 1923 in Superior, WI to Orville and Hannah (Settergren) Little.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Donald was employed as a milk truck driver for Twin Ports Dairy for over forty years retiring in 1982.
He married Elaine Doucette on August 18, 1947 and they recently celebrated sixty-six years of marriage.
Donald was a member of the Teamsters Union #346.
Donald loved hockey. He also enjoyed his cabin on Lake St. Croix in Solon Springs, WI. He lived there year round until recently moving to the Lighthouse of Superior.
Donald is survived by his wife, Elaine; one son, Donald W. Little, Superior, WI; three daughters, Mary Jo Wiseman, White Bear Lake, MN, Kathleen Pomeroy, Horseshoe Bay, TX and Nancy (Tim) Senn, Superior, WI; five grandchildren, Brian Wiseman, Glencoe, MN, Laara Pommerening, Wauwatosa, WI, Matthew Pomeroy, Rachel Senn and Melissa Senn, all of Superior, WI; five great-grandchildren, Rebecca Wiseman, Talis and Jasmine Pomeroy, Addison and Holden Pommerening; two sisters, Ruth Pallis and Cathy Smith, both of CA and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Little, two brothers-in-law William and Joseph “Bud” Doucette and granddaughter Lea Ann Wiseman.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 10:30 AM memorial service.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
