Donald “Duke” Loyde Windsor Jr., 61, of Superior, WI passed away August 31st, 2022, surrounded by family.
He was born in Milwaukee WI to Donald and Janet Windsor (Rolstad) before moving to Hawthorne WI. He graduated from Solon Springs High School in 1979, following high school he served as a Medic in the Navy from 1982-1986 with an Honorary Discharge. After the Military he drove truck until health reasons no-longer permitted him to do so.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and was a great pool player. He enjoyed bar hopping to his favorite places, getting together with his friends and had a great memory for telling stories. Family and friendships were most important to him.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Randy Windsor, and Leroy Windsor; many beloved Aunts and Uncles; nephew, Theodore (Teddy) Derrick; great-nephew, Carson Lucas, and his special companion, Tazzers.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Nicole Windsor of Superior; son, Duke (Anita) Windsor of South Range; sister, Vicki Windsor of Superior; brother, Rory (Lavonne) Windsor of Colorado; grandchildren, Olivia Wilson, KayLynn and William Windsor, and Pascell Clark; nieces, Gina Dollar, Emily Windsor, Jade (Sean) Flavon, Justine Windsor and Marissa Windsor; nephews, Shane (Janie) Lucas and Darin Windsor; great-nieces, Alexis and Becca Lucas; great-nephews, Damon Lucas, Easton Lucas and Jay Flavon; former spouse and mother to his children, Shelby Nelson-Windsor, and girlfriend of many years, Anne Albert.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Roadhouse Bar, 9076 E. County Rd. B, Hawthorne, WI.
