Donalda Ann (Meysman) Matiski

Donalda Ann (Meysman) Matiski, a lifelong resident of Superior, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was the youngest of five children born to John and Sophia Meysman. She had fond memories of growing up with her four siblings Frank, Philip, Jean and Robert all of whom preceded her in death.

After high school graduation, she held various secretarial and bookkeeping positions at Superior Lidgerwood-Mundy, Douglas County Welfare Department, Twin Ports Dairy and New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

She married her late husband, Ted Matiski while he served in the United States Army at Camp Kilmer, NJ. Together she and Ted raised four children who were the love of their lives and who brought them great joy and purpose.
She enjoyed time spent with kids and grandkids (especially playing cards with them at the lake), biking, dancing, gardening, sewing and traveling. Her passion for travel was fulfilled through many years of travel overseas and throughout the United States.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Alan Snyder) and their daughters, Giselle, Taryn and Sydney; by her son Tom (Alberta Mazzei) and their sons, Lawrence, Thomas, Matthew, Mark and Luke; by her daughter Marilyn (Robert Mielke) and by her daughter Vanessa (Michael Leitner) and their daughters, Anna, Ella, and Cecelia; several cousins and many nieces and nephews; special nieces, Linda, Laura, Johanna, Patty, Cathy and Darlene; special friends Judy and Dick, Mike, Betsy and Larry, Betty, Gerry, Cathy, Phyllis and LaVerne.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will be holding a reception in her honor at Ham Lake, WI on August 7, 2010.
