Donelda A. Thompson

Donelda A. Thompson, 83, formerly of Superior, died peacefully, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Marywood Assisted Living in Duluth, MN. She was born in Minot, ND, June 15, 1937, the daughter of Calvin and Selma (Beaver) Hover.

Donelda was united in marriage to Roderic I. “Rod” Thompson, May 25, 1957 and they celebrated 57 of marriage before his passing in 2015. She was a former longtime employee of JC Penney’s in Duluth, and also worked as an administrative assistant for Lutheran Social Services in Superior.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Carol) Thompson, Ok Boon Kim, Scott (Susan) Thompson, and tina Thompson; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Rod.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service with Pastor Nathan Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
