Donna Mae Catherine Devinck

September 22, 1920 — July 12, 2013

Donna Mae Catherine DeVinck, 92, lifelong Superior resident, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Lighthouse of Superior Assisted Living. She was born on September 22, 1920 in Superior, WI to Charles and Irene (McKeague) Quinn.

She graduated from Stanbrook Hall at St. Scholastic and attended Superior Business College.
She was employed as a legal secretary for the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office prior to her marriage.

Donna married Joseph DeVinck on November 23, 1946 and celebrated sixty-one years of marriage before his passing in June of 2008.

She was a lifelong member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 1190.

Donna devoted her life to caring for her family. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling with her husband, socializing and interacting with others.


Donna is survived by two daughters, Patty Berg, Washburn, WI and Julie (Steve) Pasowicz, Green Bay, WI; one son, Steve (Britt) DeVinck, Superior, WI; grandchildren, Bill (Patty) Berg, Kathleen (Gregg) Skoraczewski, Kristine (Treston) Wobig, Erin (Sasha) Druva, John Pasowicz and Eric, Jessica and Sara DeVinck; great-grandchildren, Emma, Josee and Billy Berg, Ella, Nora and Grant Skoraczewski and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, daughter Kathleen DeVinck, infant son William, son Mark DeVinck, son-in-law John Berg, brothers Walt, Ed, Jack and Pete Quinn and sisters Frances Quinn and Jean Sullivan.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church , 1111 Belknap Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.

Pallbearers for the service will be Donna’s grandchildren, Bill Berg, Kathleen Skoraczewski, Kristine Wobig, Erin Druva, John Pasowicz and Eric, Jessica and Sara DeVinck.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Donna’s name to Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.
