Donna M. Miller

Donna Mae Miller, 85, resident of the Town of Maple, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Brule, WI on January 27, 1939, the daughter of Wayne and Helmi (Granlund) Lahti.

She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1957. She married Reuben Clemmer on June 8, 1957, and moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked as a secretary. They then moved to Babbitt, MN for some time before moving back to Brule. Reuben and Donna bought and moved into her parent's farm home until Reubens passing on December 25, 1988.

After returning to Brule, Donna worked at Northwestern High School as a secretary and bookkeeper for thirty-two years. She received the Support Staff of the Year award during her time there. She was also the Copper Ranger's 4-H leader during the 1970's.

She married Robert Miller on August 22, 1992, in Brule. Together they enjoyed fishing, spending time in Washburn, and taking trips to Door County.

Donna was known for cooking and baking. She made wonderful pancakes, apple pie, baked beans, and pastie pies and often supplied these treats to family gatherings and her son's hunting shack for many years. She was known for always remembering everyone's birthdays and gifting $2 bills to her nieces and nephews until they reached the age of eighteen. She was a wonderful care giver to her two aunts, Viola, and Ailie. She was a warm and loving woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Donna is survived by her husband Rob Miller, Maple; daughter Robin (Richard) Moses, La Crosse, WI; sons Kirk (Jill) Clemmer, Brule and Shawn Clemmer, Brule; grandchildren Neil (Dawn) Clemmer, Amanda (Sean) Heller, Tarl (Allison) Kaio, Shane Kaio, and Benjamin (Kerry) Clemmer; great-grandchildren Jenna, Emily, Juniper, Albert, and Caleb; step-grandchildren Mitchell (Emily) Ogren, Leah (Jason) Klobucher, Alayna (Justin) Beacon, Taylore (Matt Bailey) Ogren, Claire Harvey, Lydia Harvey, Sydney Harvey, and Aubree Miller; six great-step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Reuben Clemmer; her parents Wayne and Helmi; stepdaughters Dawn Alexson, Robin Harvey, and Colleen Miller; sisters Shirley Lightfoot, Irene Courtney, and Evelyn Hanson; foster sons Charles Miller and Scott Orville; nephews Garry Clemmer, Chad Livingston, Ken Evenstad, and Wyatt Lagerquist; sisters-in-law Shirley Clemmer and Joy Anderson; and brothers-in-law Jim Lightfoot, Ted Courtney, LeRoy Hanson, and Dan Clemmer.

A Visitation will be held at 9:00 am for family and 10:00 am for the general public Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Brule Presbyterian Church, 5810 County Road H in Brule and will continue until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Pastor Leslie Lenz officiating. Following the service a community gathering will be held at the Kro Bar in Brule. Burial will be in Everest Cemetery in Waino at a later date.
