Dorothy J. Flemmen

Dorothy "Dode" Flemmen, 97, passed peacefully on January 21, 2025, at Elysian Senior Homes Duluth under the care of Genitiva Hospice.

Dode was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior and served many years as a member of the Altar Guild. Convincing her children and grandchildren to attend Lutefisk Dinner was a goal. Dode was a graduate of Superior Central High School and the School of Cosmetology. She worked for many years at Prange's Superior at the Estee Lauder counter and was a faithful customer of the Estee Lauder line to the end.

Throughout her life she enjoyed several hobbies including bowling, golfing, sewing, upholstering, baking, and card playing. Bridge and lunch with her friends were particular favorites in her later years.

Dode is preceded in death by her husband, Perry A. Flemmen.

She is survived by her sons Perry L. (Susan) of Lake Nebagamon and Bradley R. (Lisa) of South Range; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
