Dorothy Koivisto

April 29, 1944 — March 11, 2023

Dorothy Koivisto, 78, longtime Superior resident, died peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Superior Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Friendship, WI, April 29, 1944, the daughter of William and Rubye (Higgins) Fallos.

Dorothy worked at Advanced Data Comm in Superior, WI for many years. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved music, especially Elvis.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her!

She is survived by her children, JoAnne Koivisto, Superior, William Koivisto Jr, Maple, Lynn Koivisto, Superior, Scott Koivisto, Superior, Tanya (Roger) Colby, Maple; grandchildren, Jessica, Robert, Justine, Raymond, Holly, Hannah, Emma, Derec; great-grandchildren, Eli, Autumn, Skylar, Grant, Cameron; sister, Carol Einechner; several nieces and nephews; best pal Bonnie Colby, Maple, along with her family Ken, Anthony, Nicolle.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Koivisto, several sisters and brothers, and her parents.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Maple Memorial Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the Maple Community Center, 11037 U.S. Hwy 2. Pastor Darrell Kyle will officiate.
