Dorothy Middleman

Dorothy Middleman, 79, Orienta Township, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

She was born on July 30, 1937 to Anthony and Mary (Orzechowski) Kozeniecki in Milwaukee, WI.  She retired from the South Shore District at 77 years of age. She was a hard worker and she was very proud of her Polish heritage.

Dorothy enjoyed reading, mowing the grass and feeding her hummingbirds. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband Earl, her parents, brothers Anthony, Joseph and John, sister Helen, her dear cousin Gerry Alioto, son-in-law Dan O’Neill and her beloved son Dale.

Dorothy is survived by daughter Mary and her children, Sarah and Dayelle Dorothy, daughter Linda and her children, Ashley, Megan and Lindsey, son Mike (Julie) and their children, Jack, Tianna, Elissa, Mason, Aubrey and baby Dorothy, son Tony (Deb) and their children, Eric and Samantha, her granddaughter Sara Renee and her grandson Kevin and his children Annikah, Adrienne and Espen and many nieces, nephews, friends and grand pets.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior and continue until the 5:30 PM memorial service with Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church officiating.

Dorothy’s grandchildren will recognized as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to staff at St. Luke’s especially Dr. Sonja Swenson and the staff at Twin Ports Rehab in Superior for the wonderful care they offered to Dorothy.
