Dorothy Wheaton

Dorothy Wheaton, 87, Superior, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on November 30, 1927 in Superior to Albert and Mary (Rohrer) Ellison and was a lifelong Superior resident.

She was a former member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader of non-fiction and fiction books, loved to garden and enjoyed doing the puzzles in the daily newspapers.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Gary (Christine) Wheaton, Offenbach, Germany, Kevin Wheaton, Dubuque, IA; one daughter, Robin Wheaton, Superior; four grandchildren, Leigh, Eric, Alexia and Maximilian; special cousins, Jeanne and Rod Ellison and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse; her parents and a brother, James Ellison.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron Henley of Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospice Care.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
