Douglas P. Anderson, age 66, of Foxboro, WI, completed his life’s journey on Sunday, February 9th, 2025. He was born in Superior, WI, on May 30, 1958, to Peter A. and Betty (Flatten) Anderson.
Doug attended Superior Senior High School, class of 1976. He spent more than 45 years as an independent long-haul truck driver, a career that not only demonstrated his strong work ethic but also his dedication to his family and the open road.
In his free time, Doug found joy in the things that brought him peace and adventure. He had a deep love for his Harley and cherished every moment spent riding through the open roads. He also enjoyed fishing, racing, and camping – activities that allowed him to connect with nature and spend time with those he loved.
Doug was a kind and generous man, whose heart was always full of love for his family and friends. In 2011, he found his forever home, a place that once belonged to his beloved grandparents. It was there that Doug slowed down, cherishing the land he had grown up on and creating new memories in a place that held so much meaning for him. His enjoyable sense of humor and passion for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling him a friend, family member, or companion.
He is survived by his mother Betty Anderson, Superior; his daughters Jenny (Dustin Kirsh) Anderson and Hali (Trenton Moe) Dunphy, both of Superior; grandchildren MaKayla (Logan Wendt) Anderson, Cash and Alyvia Dunphy; sister Dawn Rosier, Grand Junction, CO; brother David Anderson, Zephyrhills, FL; nephew Nick (Fran Bergen) Anderson, Zephyrhills, FL; Dani (Zane) Rice, Fort Wayne, IN; Taylor (Jes) Izman, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and a very special friend of 51 years; Donny Gordner, Montgomery, PA.
Doug is preceded in death by his father, Peter Anderson, his nephew Kyle Engelbrektson and his beloved German Shephard, Ellie.
