Edith L. Livingston, 89, Superior resident, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice in Duluth. She was born on March 16, 1927 in Ontonagon, MI to Joseph and Mary Bernadette (Bodan) Wolfe.
She graduated from high school and then went on to nurse’s aide training.
Edith was a longtime active member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and served as a volunteer in many functions. She also was a longtime member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She enjoyed bowling and the Douglas County 4-H. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Edith is survived by one daughter, Diana (Michael) Flaherty, Eagle River, AK; five sons, Michael (Danielle), Webster, WI, Denis, Janesville, WI, John (Claudette), Foxboro, WI, Marcal (Ella), Webster, WI and Roger Louis Livingston, Embarrass, MN; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Karen Adele Livingston, granddaughter Agnes Livingston, grandson Roger Livingston, Jr. and twelve brothers and sisters.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior and continue until the 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Summit Cemetery in Foxboro.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Edith’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
