Edith L. Warner

January 17, 1932 — May 21, 2022

Edith L. Warner, Superior, WI, died Saturday, May 21, at 90 years of age, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior, WI. She was born January 17, 1932, to John and Verna (Haukkala) Pellman at their family home in Maple, WI.

She married Robert C. Warner Sr. on October 18, 1952. He truly was the love of her life, and she has now happily reunited with him in heaven.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Carl (Delores) Pellman, George (Eleanor) Pellman; sisters Irene (Jerry) Parenteau, Ruth (Ken) Beckman and Delores (Ron) Gramer; grandsons Louis Johnson and Jeremy Raivala.

She is survived by her son Robert (Kay) Warner Jr.; daughters Debra (Michael) Johnson and Kathleen (Jimmy Sr.) Raivala; grandchildren Jimmy Raivala Jr., Erin (Tim) Helenius, Jon (Katie) Raivala, Rachel (Elson Pagsisihan) Warner, Samuel (Rhea) Raivala, Peter Warner, Clayton (Katy) Johnson and Mary (Nick) Pitzen; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest (Liz) Pellman, and many nieces and nephews.

Edith went through Corner School in Maple, WI and later graduated from Superior Vocational School as a L.P.N. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran church where she served as Financial Secretary for 11 years as well as being a member of the Mary Circle and Altar Guild. She loved knitting, crocheting, traveling, playing cards and bingo, jigsaw puzzles and dancing. Her vibrant personality as well as her hearty and contagious laugh will be missed by many.

The family extends their sincere thanks to Twin Ports Health Services for their kindness and excellent care given to Edith during her stay there.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Superior, WI; visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM service. Memorials can be sent to Old Brule Heritage Society, Inc. at P.O. Box 24, Maple, WI 54854.

Cremation Service of Superior, 403 E Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
