Edward Walman

Edward Walman, 78, of Maple, Wisconsin, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Essentia

Health, St Mary’s, Medical Center, Duluth, MN.

Edward was a farmer in the Maple area for most of his life. He was also employed by the O and M grain elevator for over thirty-five years.

Edward enjoyed taking the church group on hayrides in the fall of the year.

He was the sexton at the Maple Finnish Apostolic Cemetery for many years

Edward was a member of the Cloverland Bible Baptist Church and a trustee for the Church; a member of the Maple volunteer Fire Department and the Old Brule Heritage.

He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Autio, Maple, WI and Alice Christensen, Poplar, WI; and sister-in-law, Vicki Walman and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his life partner, Karin Colby, Maple, WI and Karin’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Derec and Emma Colby, Jillian and Jedidiah Romich, and Axel Grube; and his cat, Emma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hjalmer and Hannah Walman; one brother, Clifford Walman.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Cloverland Bible Baptist Church in Maple, Wisconsin and continue until the 2:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Charles Ells, officiating.

Burial will at the Finnish Apostolic Cemetery, Maple, WI.

The Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5th Street, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
