Eileen Johnson

Eileen Johnson, 91, of Hawthorne, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on August 28, 1919 in Superior, WI to Alphonse and Agnes (Emanuelson) Langermann.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Prange Way store for many years.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a volunteer at the Memorial Hospital Gift Shop.

Eileen is survived by daughter, Debra (Donald) Wermter, Hawthorne, WI; son, Richard (Sandy) Johnson, Tekemah, NE; daughter-in-law, Lucy Goneau, Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Brad, Scott and Amy Wermter, Paula (William) Hoffer, all of Hawthorne, WI, Jaclyn (Jason) Waters and Jake Johnson, both of Omaha, NE; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson, parents, sisters Lucille Church and Lorraine Norris and brother Alphonse “Bud” Langermann Jr.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in Zion Lutheran Church and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Savior’s Lutheran officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Brad and Scott Wermter, William Hoffer, Jake Johnson, Gerald Marello and Charles Church.

The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
