Elaine M. Stuart

Elaine M. Stuart, 98, longtime Superior resident, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior, WI. She was born in Superior, WI on August 6, 1923, the daughter of Herbert and Salvina (Landsverk) LaVine.

Elaine graduated from East High School, class of 1941. She was united in marriage to Joseph Stuart on November 1, 1946. They raised four children and celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing.

She was a member of Hope Congregational Church. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Her special interest was her family, but she enjoyed her china painting.

She is survived by her children James (Diane) Stuart, Richard Stuart, William (Kathy) Stuart, and Sally (Ron) Neubauer; grandchildren Barbara Stuart, Bill Stuart, Kris Hanson, Becki Troy, Brent Stuart, Joseph Neubauer, and Carrie Rydberg; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Erica, Kaisa, Tyler, Chloe, Peyton, Hadley, Cassie, Grant, Nathan and Ellienne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Stuart and daughter-in-law Betty (Rick) Stuart.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E 5 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11 AM Memorial Service with Pastor Randy Brodeen officiating.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery as a private family gathering.
