Elenore R. Urbaniak

Elenore R. Urbaniak, 87, Superior, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN.

She was born on May 21, 1926 in Ashland, WI to Frank and Rose (Bauer) Sieger.

Elenore received her Bachelor’s Degree in education from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. She taught at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute in Ashland for over 20 years. She was a lifelong learner and educator.


While living in Ashland, Elenore was involved in many committees and church activities.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior.

Elenore is survived by four sons, Thomas (Debra) Urbaniak, Kansas City, MO, Jeffrey Urbaniak, Duluth, MN, David (Sue) Urbaniak, Appleton, WI, Jerome (Cindy) Urbaniak, Brainerd, MN; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard and a granddaughter, Brandy.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski, pastor and Rev. Fr. John Petrich, concelebrating.

Burial will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Ashland in the spring.
