Eli J. Sickler, 44, lifelong area resident, died peacefully with his loving family by his side, Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born in Duluth, MN, November 25, 1974, the son of David A. and Nora (Patterson) Sickler.
He graduated from Central High School in Duluth, and worked for Rick Gruel Landscaping and Design in Cable, WI.
Eli loved to golf and was on a men’s league at Telemark Golf Course. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and was recently inducted into the Sons of the American Legion Post 487 in Cable.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Hayden, of Cable, WI; beloved partner and finace, Angie Scanavino, Cable, WI; sisters, Michelle (Ryan) Shold, Solon Springs, WI, and Stasha (Tim) Ausman, Superior, WI; brother, Josh Sickler, Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Missy (Joe) Check, Cable, WI; many nieces and nephews; mother, Nora Patterson, Superior, WI; paternal grandmother, Stella Hanson, Superior, WI; and special cousin, Matthew Patterson, Duluth, MN.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Sickler.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, and will continue until the 7:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Mark Wagenschutz of Twin Ports Baptist Church officiating.
Eli’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at St. Mary’s ICU for the amazing care and support they offered during his stay.
