Elna M. Larson

Elna M. Larson, 91, former longtime resident of Superior and Lake Nebagamon, WI, died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Golden Oaks Senior Living in Hermantown, MN. She was born in Poplar, WI, August 25, 1928, the daughter of Edwin and Emma (Hendrickson) Falk.

Elna was united in marriage to George Larson, April 5, 1952, and they celebrated sixty-five years of marriage before his passing in 2017.

She worked as a beautician at Glass Block and House of Charm for many years. She was a member of First Evangelical Covenant Church in Superior, where she was always involved in lady’s guild. She loved her shopping and the color pink. Pink roses were her favorite flower. She was a great cook, and her home was very important to her. She loved having friends and family over.

Elna enjoyed every minute with her loving husband, George. They shared a lifetime of happy memories and had great times traveling together. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; they meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Michael) Olson, Greenwood, WI; son, Steven (Linda) Larson, Britt, MN; grandchildren, Justin (Kevin Sumi) Hoivik, Jeremy Hoivik, Joshua (Breanna) Hoivik, Andrew (Holly) Larson, Matthew (Lisa) Larson; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler, Caleb, Brynn and Avery Hoivik, and Kaitlynn and Connor Larson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Falk; cousins, Ina Falk, Clara (Gene) Karich, and Lawrence Falk; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George; parents; brothers, Carl, Arthur, Theodore, Roy, Donald, Melvin and John; sisters, Wilma Bratek, Edna Bagwell, and Norma Chastain.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 3311 Hammond Avenue, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service with Pastor Stephen Staurseth officiating.

Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery at a later date.
