Elsie Erbentraut

Elsie Erbentraut, 102, of Branson, MO, formerly of Poplar, WI, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 in Branson. She was born in Poplar, August 5, 1916, the daughter of William and Hulda (Jones) Lundberg.

She graduated from Superior East High School and went on to earn her degree in nursing, later working as a Nurse Anesthetist in Elkhorn, WI and Milwaukee, for many years before her retirement.

Elsie lived most her life on a farm in Whitewater and moved back to Poplar in her 80’s. She lived her last four years in Branson, MO with her grandson, Bob; his wife, Laura; and great-grandson, Jack.

She was united in marriage to Robert Erbentraut on August 23, 1947 and they celebrated forty-two years of marriage before his passing in 1989.

She enjoyed gardening and farming. Elsie and her sister, Marion, enjoyed shared trips on the golf cart, picking raspberries and blueberries well into their nineties.

Elsie’s greatest love was her family. Above all, she loved her time spent with her daughter, siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her lovely daughter, Lorraine Williams-Seymore, Branson, MO; grandsons, Robert (Laura) Williams and Benjamin Williams, both of Branson, MO; great-grandchildren, Collin, Emily and Jack Williams; sister, Ruth Nicoloff, of California; sister-in-law, Irene Lundberg; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Robert; sisters, Gertrude Bergsten, Marion Olson and Lorraine Robinson; brothers, Willard, Norman, John, Robert and Richard Lundberg; and son-in-law, Eugene Williams.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 5, 2019 at Poplar Cemetery.
