Elva Wilson was called peacefully from her home to be with the Angels at age 92, on March 20, 2021.
Elva was born September 5, 1928 in the Rice Street area of St. Paul Minnesota, the third of four children of Albin and Agnes (Arendt) Anderson. Elva graduated from Washington High School in St. Paul in 1946.
Elva found the love of her life, Charles David “Dave” Wilson when visiting her grandparents in the Dairyland, Wisconsin area. They were married in Superior, Wisconsin on April 12, 1947, and Elva left running water and electricity behind to join Dave at his family farm in Dairyland. Their first son Rod arrived, followed by Harry. They then uprooted and headed to Deer Park, where their son Tom was welcomed. With their family complete, they again packed up, purchased the family farm in Dairyland, and Dave went to work for the DNR. With their sons nearly grown, and to the surprise of many, Dave and Elva were blessed with a daughter Lorraine.
In 1971, Dave and Elva sold their Dairyland farm to son Rod, and moved to Grantsburg, WI. Dave continued to work for the DNR, while Elva became a waitress at the Rainbow Café. She was later recruited away to work at the clinic in Grantsburg, where she remained until her retirement.
Elva and Dave spent their retirement years split between their Dairyland woods cabin on the farm, and their lake cabin in Minong.
Dave was called back to the Lord on October 10, 1998, after 51 years of marriage. Elva enjoyed a good beer on the deck, pontoon rides and cooking for her family. She also looked forward to deer season at the farm, where she would spoil the hunters with her meals and hospitality.
Elva is survived by her four children Rod Wilson (Linda, Rhonda) of Dairyland, WI, Harry Wilson (Terry) of Carlton, MN, Thomas (Sherri) Wilson of Foxboro, WI, and Lorraine (Jeff) Peer of Minong, WI. Elva is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, Nora (Mark) Shartau, Sara (Troy) Coveau, Mark, Clarinda and Grant (Melissa) Wilson, Sam (Gina) and Peter Wilson, Dain (Kelli) Peer, Lanai (Matt) Leslie, Terisa (Dustin) Miller, Brock, Reed and Dillon Peer, Charli (Shawn) Norway, Christopher, Qamoni, Nicholas, Michael and Rainy Peer.

She is also survived by sister-in-law Pat (Arvin) Anderson and nieces and nephews of all shapes and sizes.
