Emily Marie (Pfankuch) Linder, 58, Superior, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN following complications from a heart attack on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
She was born on September 9, 1954 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Eugene and Lucille (Perry) Pfankuch.
She graduated from McDonald Central High School in Chippewa Falls and received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the University of Wisconsin, Superior.
She served her country in the United States Army.
Emily was a member of the Veterans Post in Superior. She loved doing puzzles, weaving, ceramics, art and playing games with other people.
She was also a foster parent for many years.
Emily is survived by her son, Jeff Linder, Superior; three sisters, Sally Simmerman, Marietta, GA, Lisa (Preston) Overshiner, Superior, Betty (Tony) Kleutsch, Brule, WI; five brothers, Ralph (Jean) Pfankuch, Chippewa Falls, WI, Ronald (Pam) Pfankuch, Chippewa Falls, Edward (Bobbie) Pfankuch, Superior, Kenneth (Margaret) Pfankuch, South Range, WI, Daniel (Lynda) Pfankuch, Rice Lake, WI; longtime friend, Darrell Mattson, Superior; several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Dude.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her maternal grandmother, Fern Perry.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be in Hayward, Wisconsin at a later date.
