Eugene A. Nordquist

Eugene A. Nordquist, 72, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay, WI.

He was born October 2, 1942 in Superior to Arvid and Gladys (Orlowski) Nordquist and would have turned 73 today.

He attended catholic schools in Superior before transferring to Central High School from which he graduated in 1961. He went on to receive an Associate Degree in drafting from Indianhead Technical Institute in 1968.

Gene served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Viet Nam.
He married Sandra Scalvi on June 11, 1966 in Hinckley, MN and celebrated 48 years of marriage.

After moving to Two Rivers, WI in 1968, Gene went to work for Hamilton Industries from which he retired from in May 2007.
He always enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, skiing and swimming.
He was an avid reader and took pride in his gardening, especially at their retirement home in Lake Nebagamon.

In addition to his wife Sandy, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Moes, Milwaukee, Lisa (John Kaufman) Nordquist, Hermantown, MN; he was “Poppa” to his four grandchildren, Jared, Miranda, Logan and Lukas; one brother, Walter “Sonny” Lukas, Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Florence (Joe) Deneweth, Superior, Pat (Tom) West, Solon Springs, WI and other family members.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrate.
