Evelyn O. O'Brien

Evelyn 0. O’Brien, 95, Superior, Wisconsin resident, died April 29, 2017 at Reedsburg Area Medical Center, Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She was born on October 18, 1921 in O’Neill, Nebraska to Peter and Mary (Gunn) Liska.

She graduated from Pratt High School in Kansas. Evelyn was employed as a waitress for many years and also taught ceramics out of her home. She was a member of the POW and the Merry Widows club. Evelyn was an artist. She loved ceramics and rosemaling.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Dale) Bowers, St. Augustine, FL; two sons, Tom (Barbara) O’Brien, Reedsburg, WI, and Tim (Karen) O’Brien, Chicago, IL and six grandchildren.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband James in 2006; her son Peter O’Brien in 2015; a daughter Rose in 1995; two sisters, Shirley and Marvel; three brothers, Larry, Willard and Gaylen Liska and her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, WI.

There will be a 10:00 AM graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, Thursday, May 4, 2017.
