Felix J. "Buck" Demars

Felix J. “Buck” DeMars, 83, longtime Superior area resident died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Essentia Health, St Mary’s Hospital, Hospice Unit, Duluth, MN surrounded by his family.

He was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on August 12, 1931, the son of Felix J. and Ruth (Richardson) DeMars.

He served two tours for his country in the United States Army.

Buck married Ann Rhodes on October 26, 1958 in Pine City, Minnesota and would have celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage this year.

Buck retired as a boiler maker after many years of service.

Buck was a member of the Boiler Maker's Union; an avid Packer fan; an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, and fishing on Lake Superior.

Among Bucks many accomplishments, he was especially proud of his private pilot's license.

He loved family especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Ann , Buck. is survived by one daughter, Kim (Danny) Borndal, Bonita Springs, Florida; two Sons, Mark (Cheryl Osberg) DeMars, Lake Nebagamon, WI and Shane DeMars, Superior; nine grandchildren, Jason Bleskan, Superior, WI, Joshua (Monica) Bleskan, Miami, Florida, Celie Borndal, Rhinelander, WI, Andy (Missy) Kennedy, Hibbing, MN, Steven (Nikkol) Osberg, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Chad Rehm, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Matthew DeMars, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Evan DeMars, Superior, WI, and Paige DeMars, Superior, WI; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Hunter, Superior, WI and many nieces and nephews.

Buck enjoyed a special relationship with his many in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and will continue until the 2:30 PM Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5 th Street, Superior with Pamela Fisher, officiating.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.

Bucks grandchildren and great-grandchildren recognized as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
