Fitzgerald Jane

Jane C. (Lindberg) Fitzgerald, 89, a lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 in the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 29, 1920 in Superior to Oscar and Hilda (Peterson) Lindberg.
She graduated from the former Central High School.
Jane was a longtime member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church; a member of the former Onaway Club. She loved to sew and was well known as a seamstress in the area. She was one of the first "Hockey Moms".
She is survived by six sons, Tim (Kathy) Fitzgerald, Lake Nebagamon, Mark Fitzgerald, Duluth, MN, Scott (Candy) Fitzgerald, Superior, James (Mary Pat) Fitzgerald, Appleton, WI, Jeff (Dianne) Fitzgerald, Superior, Rob (Mary Jo) Fitzgerald, Superior; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald J. Fitzgerald, Sr.; one son, Gerald J. Fitzgerald, Jr. and a daughter Kathleen Joan Fitzgerald.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday, October 8, 2009 until the 10:30 Funeral Service in Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Hillmer, officiating.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Jane's grandchildren will be recognized as pallbearers for the services.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care Jane received during her time at Middle River.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
