Francis S. “Frank” Bucsko Jr., 75, resident of Barnes, WI, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born in Duluth on May 2, 1948, the son of Francis S. and Anne Bucsko Sr.
After graduating high school in east Chicago, Frank joined the United States Marine Corp and later became a Merchant Marine on the Great Lakes. He even sailed on the famous SS Edmund Fitzgerald.
He was a longtime area resident, but also spent forty-three years living in Texas. He loved living there and became a huge Dallas Cowboy’s fan.
Frank was a very sociable man who loved to sing, make others smile, and spend time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his children, Dale Bucsko, Francis Bucsko, Dawn Bucsko, Martin Sterling, Richard Sterling, Brandy Pittman, Michael Pittman, Philip Hogan, and Michael Cox, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother Jim and his parents.
Per Frank’s wishes, no public services will be held.
